The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the LG G4, has already arrived in South Korea, Europe and the Sprint network in the USA. Now US Cellular is releasing the OTA updates for its G4 devices.
The Marshmallow update brings to the LG G4 these primary features along with other improvements and additions:
Now on Tap:
Touch and hold the Home key to perform additional actions without having to jump into another application. The system will suggest actions based on the content you are viewing.
Give your device some down time:
The new Doze feature places your device into a sleep-state to conserve power when you’re not using it. Battery drain, from seldom used applications, is limited by the system.
Power over Permissions:
Applications designed for Marshmallow only ask for permissions to access features when needed. You can control what resources an app has access to through the Application Manager at any time. According to the US cellular website you can upgrade your G4 via 2 options.The software version of the marshmallow update is US99120b.

- Your device has to be registered to a Google account
- Your device has to be connected to Wi-Fi to download the upgrade
Steps to follow to get the update:
- Go to settings & select About Device
- From About Phone select Update Center
- Select Software Updates and follow the on screen prompts.
